Peafowl Garden

Peafowl Garden covers an area of 12, 000 square meters, and is home to more than 6,800 birds including green, blue, and white peafowls. On the green lawn, the peafowls are standing, lying, wandering, playing with people, or flying to the high branches to sing.     Peafowls can be classified by the color into blue, green and white peafowls. The green peafowls can be only seen in Yunnan Province, and has been classified as state first grade protection animals. As the "giant" among peafowls, a green peafowl weighs about 6 kg, so it is commonly known as "six kilo" in Hushui, Yunnan. Peafowls molt in April and May each year, during which they proudly opened their beautiful wings and trains to show the most distinctive "tail-feather displaying" that makes the audience envy.
